Before you think about ‘going on a diet’ you need to be aware that you’re already on one (it just might not be very good).
As humans, we must consume foods for energy and these foods make up our diet.
Before I go any further, you’ve got to understand that food isn’t just food.
Food, as you know, comes in all different shapes and sizes and as soon as we ingest it, it becomes fuel for specific metabolic functions in our body.
Therefore food choice, selection & timing is actually highly important if you want to optimise yourself in general.
Feeling down? Lethargic? Anxious?
Suffering with bad skin & thin hair?
No sex drive & always wanting to nap?
Struggling to add muscle tissue and chip away at stubborn body fat?
This, quite probably, is a direct result of a sustained poor diet.
Instead of your body firing like the high powered machine it is, yours is rusty, slow & temperamental.
It needs to be fuelled & well oiled to deliver it’s max output, not under resourced.
The concept is to build momentum with your metabolism and to make your body thrive with quality nutrition that you actually enjoy!
Most people completely overlook this and this is why a huge chunk of the population steadily regress in terms of mental resilience and physicality.
I don’t want to give you a calorie restricted plan that dries up your metabolism and leaves you feeling depleted.
We want you firing mentally and physically.
Feeling stronger, leaner & at your very best, daily.
Stress is what makes us adapt. It’s good for us, it’s how we grow!
But too much stress & you’re at risk of tipping the scales & your body will quickly switch from adapting & thriving to surviving!
This is why your training split needs careful consideration.
It’s easy to fall into the trap of thinking more = more with training but it’s just like finding that biting point with the clutch on a car, too much revs and you end up burning it out but just the right amount gets you moving forward perfectly.
Where most will be keen to jump on the cardio bandwagon & dip in and out of HIIT classes, Bootcamps & in some cases do endless hours on the treadmill or stairmaster in order to force off the body fat.
And okay, you may see some developments doing excessive amounts of training but ask yourself, how long can you uphold that amount of volume and intensity?
A week, probably.
A month, maybe.
A year, you’d be lucky
A decade & beyond? No chance!
We do things differently.
We seek productivity and longevity!
We firstly establish the objective of the individual.
Once we’re crystal clear on this, we reverse engineer you a plan.
We make everything purpose driven & each workout edges you closer towards your goal.
No second guessing, wasting time, money & energy.
Total efficiency through dynamic & engaging workouts.
We can program for gym based workouts, limited equipment workouts & zero equipment workouts – it really doesn’t matter which you prefer; there’s always a way to stimulate muscle and get it adapting.
Accountability in a nutshell is keeping you responsible.
It’s about challenging you and supporting equally to keep you on that upward trajectory of continuous improvement.
You see, you can get the world’s best nutritionist to write you out a diet plan but as soon as it’s handed over to you, the ball is in your court.
Who’s going to ensure it actually gets done?
Often free and/or cheap plans come at a greater cost.
You need to be held to a higher standard than you hold yourself otherwise you continue letting yourself off the hook.
As humans we naturally seek comfort, that’s normal.
What isn’t normal is leaning into challenge & an element of the unknown but I bet if I asked you to think back to a really challenging time in your life, you’ll agree that it’s in the difficult times where you grow the most personally.
Our expert accountability systems & thriving team gives you the tools, resource & inspiration to keep you on track & driving forward.
Accountability is where the real value lies within any fitness program & this is where we absolutely over-deliver.
One of my favourite sayings is “give a man a fish and he’ll eat for a day, teach a man to fish and he’ll eat for a lifetime”
This ethos is exactly what is front of mind for me as a trainer when I coach my clients.
The difference between “being told what to do” and actually “being coached” is completely unparalleled.
For example; reading perfect Spanish from a script doesn’t then mean you’re fluent Spanish. The moment that script is taken away, you’re in no man’s land.
Just like following a strict nutrition and training protocol for 6 weeks doesn’t then mean you can maintain that level of result afterwards.
I bet if you thought about it, you’d be able to name a handful of your friends, peers or associates that’ve once upon a time got into half decent shape and then with a blink of an eye lost all progress, right?!
For true sustainability and longevity with your health and fitness, you need to grasp the concepts and principles used so they’re banked as an asset.
We coach you on 3 key pillars, nutrition, training and lifestyle and also deliver more specific weekly trainings to serious level up your ‘know how’
I always say, I want my clients to exit my programming with the practical knowledge base of a decent personal trainer. If I can do that, I’ve fulfilled my moral obligation as a fitness professional.
For you to exit the program with an astonishing transformation under your belt and to have acquired key skills and knowledge, that’s truly self-investment as the understanding of the concepts and principles stay with you for life.
